Technology is growing and in some cases growing exponentially. There could be a cure for some illness or disease, tomorrow. If someone decides they want to kill themselves the day before they get a miraculous cure so be it.

But why should anyone else have the right to kill them? Human beings can take their own lives. If they don't want to live they can do it themselves. You can't legislate the death of human beings by other human beings. If they are suffering why is a suggestion of euthanasia foremost and imminent? We have billion dollar pain medication industries. We have Pain management specialists.

There is enough death in society, why the advocacy for more? The sanctity of life itself is more important than disingenuous dignity. What kind of message is that to children or those struggling to stay alive in the hospital bed next to the guy suffering and wanting a " solution " and a solution via the will of someone who isn't suffering?
